Face Editor 2D Options & 3D Model Actions
Introduction
This section describes the Face Editor 2D Options and the 3D Model Actions.
Face Editor 2D Options are options that can be applied on the model to produce a slighly different version of the cover. For instance paperback vs hardcover book cover, set the number of books in a bookset (also known as books-in-a-box), set the spiral color for the special report model and so on.
While 3D Model Actions is the ability to adjust a model’s 3D appearance. For instance whether you want an opened or closed software boxshot, opened or closed book cover and so on.
How to Use the Face Editor 2D Options
To use the Face Editor 2D options, go to "Tool > Face Editor". The options are located on the Expanded Panel
How to use the 3D Model Actions
To use the 3D Model Actions on your cover. go to "Tools > Face Editor" then click on the "Preview" button on the Expanded Panel. This will bring up the "3D Preview" window.
On the 3D Preview window, scroll down to the bottom to find the "Model actions".

Regardless of the type of cover you create, you can always adjust the following 3D properties for each cover:
- Add shadow and adjust its strength and fuzziness
- Add reflection and adjust its strength
- Adjust scale along the X, Y or Z axis
- Adjust the camera position
- Adjust the model position
- Adjust the model rotation
- Adjust the camera rotation
- Adjust lighting in any direction
